Building Information Modelling (BIM)

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is not simply about producing drawings from 3D Models, it much goes further than that. BIM goes beyond the planning and design phase of the project and extends throughout the building life cycle - from early concept through to demolition.

We utilize BIM processes to create intelligent data rich multidimensional models which can be used through the design, construction, operation and demolition of building assets. Our BIM workflow allows us to have a truly interoperable system offering full integration, allowing inputs from other designers, subcontractors and specialists involved in every stage of the life-cycle to work together, without data or process conflict.

We believe that our teams and our collaborative working principles are the key to a successfully completed BIM project and this philosophy is embedded into our values and working culture. A collaborative way of functioning allows us to offer enhanced quality and efficiency for all building processes, resulting in achieving cost effectiveness as well as client satisfaction, which is crucial to any project. In our own common data environment, our teams will produce information using standardized processes to agreed standards and methods. This ensures the same form and quality, enabling information to be used and reused without change or interpretation. (PAS 1192-2 2013 / ISO 19650-2)

BIM Vision Statement…

ASI have committed to making BIM integral to all new and future project processes. We believe the full benefits of BIM will only be achieved with close collaboration and we will harness the collaborative culture ethos which underpins a truly integrated project team”

Go green

ASI believes that all our actions have an impact on our environment and should always be improved for the better. Furthermore, as a certified FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) joinery manufacturer and contractor, we are responsible for reducing and recycling our waste throughout the complete process. We are therefore happy to announce that we are one step greener with our new thinner recycling machine.
